Eat cake by the river

September 5, 2016

September 2, 2016

Well if one can eat cake by an ocean as a popular song proclaims, one can certainly eat cake be the river.

Made a trek to the Kinnickinnic River today for a change of pace.  Fished upstream of the bridge at CTH F.  Caught one little brown trout and had three others on a bead headed wooly bugger.  Early in the morning – no risers.  No tricos, but wrote a Haiku about them, and cake.  German Chocolate Cake to be specific. Gooey, German Chocolate Cake is a awesome and soulfully wholesome breakfast to start any day.

A few of the photos give true meaning to the City of River Falls, which lies upstream.  They demonstrate how much rain we’ve had and the filtration system in place to keep the water clean and nourished.
