A musky, finally.

Switched things up today and headed to Lake Minnetonka.  I wasn’t sure how the action was going to be with last night’s storms.  Typical summer night’s storm but you’re never certain as to how the fish will react.

Tried a few underwater humps and points with bucktails and crank baits, but no luck.  Put a top water bait on and had something hit it way out on the retrieve so not sure what it was as I missed.

Later in the morning I found a windswept hump with some nice weed cover and it just looked good.  Maybe a couple dozen casts later I caught a nice 34″ musky.  Not huge, but on the board for year.  I apologize for the photos.  Not the best.  Something happened to my camera to make the tones blue and I was more concerned about getting the fish back in the water.  Saw one other fish swipe at my bucktail and miss.  Too deep in the water and too far out to get a good read on what it was.
