Call me Turtleman

Recently, my 9-year old son stumbled upon the TV show Call of the Wildman on Animal Plant and has been fascinated with Turtleman’s critter catching skills.

He was more than thrilled the morning of Saturday, June 22, as a nasty looking Snapping Turtle had found its way into our neighborhood and had parked itself in the street.
Donning a pair of leather gloves, I did my best Turtleman impression and hoisted him into the back of my F-150 for a road trip to Bush Lake where we let him go.

This prehistoric critter was amazingly strong and tried to take a few snaps when I picked him up.  I’m sure however that it was grateful that we saved it from a long, slow walk to where ever it came from.  Hopefully it will find Bush Lake to its liking.
