One More Time

October 25, 2012

September 30, 2012

The weather has been unseasonably warm for the last week. Optimistically, I believe that the fish will finally be active on Mt. Normandale Lake.  My hunch seems to be right as I nab this large mouth bass in the first ten minutes on the water.

While a good start to the day my hunch proved to be wrong.  Fishing hard for another hour and half I tried buzz baits, spinner baits, crank baits, and a jig and pig, all to no avail.  There were no signs of feeding fish, bait fish, or any activity.  Possibly it was the large swaths of algae that covered the water, but things were very quiet.

I am fishing a new body of water tomorrow.  Hopefully the fish will be more active as there is a front rolling in.
