Skunked

October 19, 2012

September 20, 2012

Unable to sleep, I tossed and turned for several hours before deciding what the heck, I might as well sneak in an hour of fishing before work.  Loading up the truck I noticed that it was a tad breezy.   With just a little bit of  luck, I thought I’d be protected by the south shore of the lake.  Arriving at the access about 6:15 a.m. it was too dark and unfortunately too windy.  I gave it a shot for about fifteen minutes in a small area near the access as I was afraid to venture further than that due to the wind.

Too cold, windy, and dark – it was a great example of what happens sometimes when we trying to force things.  Oh, well – I got skunked. Winter is fast approaching and you can hardly blame a guy for wanting to get in a couple more casts before the snow flies.

Off to work.
